Voters Need To Act Now

A recent Orlando Sentinel article exposes how the bosses in the tourism industry influence local politicians through campaign contributions with the goal of stopping efforts to use Tourism Development Tax funds for Orange County’s Infrastructure. Over $288 Million collected in Tourism Development Taxes in 2019. Virtually no funds used for infrastructure, transportation & housing crisis still loom.

Commissioner Uribe voted against the environment again during February 11, 2020 BCC Meeting allowing for Split Oaks Forest to be plowed down for a toll road.

Shots Fired Near Walt Disney World

Shots Fired! This time, along Interstate-4 within Orange County’s tourism corridor; it’s economic engine. No Suspects but there could have been had former and current elected officials taken this one particular step to curb violent crime.

Voices Heard

The community’s voices have been heard. The Hoffner Avenue luxury apartment complex was pulled from the consent agenda for the upcoming Orlando City Council Meeting for this coming Monday, December 9th, 2019. There are plans to have another town hall meeting sometime January 2020. The apartment complex, however, is on the City Council Agenda for January 13, 2020 at the present time.

Environmental Concerns Expressed

Bill Moore provided an on-camera interview about the environmental and infrastructure impacts surrounding a proposed development in a Conway neighborhood.

Opposing Luxury Apartments in Southeast Orlando

Four primary issues were addressed in Bill Moore’s letter to Orlando City Commissioner Jim Gray opposing the development of luxury apartments in southeast Orlando; overcrowding concerns at area schools being near or over capacity, the environmental impact of additional stormwater runoff, increased traffic congestion, and protecting a Bald Eagle’s nest.

Leading The Charge To Save Lives

Another shooting in Orange County just after midnight on October 23rd. Eight shootings since October 1, 2019 with 3 people being shot to death.
